Elementary, 3rd Grade, Focused on A is for Axolotl Group iPad Art Project

Here is a 2nd grader using my A is for Axolotl image to color on the iPad I brought to class. I let the kids know I'm an artist and if the day goes well the students who've earned the most points for good behavior and finishing assignments would get the opportunity to have a quick training session on how to draw on an iPad.
It was interesting because multiple students were pulled out of the class behavior that day and they were made to write apology letters, not by me but by staff, and once they came back in and learned of the potential art lessons near the end of class the majority of them chose to completely focus and earn points to join in the art lessons.
Art is a powerful motivator!
