You already know someone who does this. They sit in the middle of the storm and somehow the storm moves around them — not because they're unaware, but because they've decided not to be interesting to it. Gray Rock is a collection of animals who figured this out long before humans named it: the Chinchilla who waits, the Lemur who turns his face to the sun, the Capybara who sits unbothered at the water's edge while everything else loses its mind.
