Enterprise Architect - Contract – Sacramento, CA Jun. 2008 – Apr. 2009

Technologies: 2500+ including Oracle 10g portal, BEA WebLogic Portal, Microsoft SharePoint

In my role as a Sr. Enterprise Architect, I conducted a thorough assessment of 2500+ products in the CalPERS technology product catalog. This involved measuring them against the Enterprise Content Management lifecycle model and the TOGAF model to identify gaps or redundancies in business capabilities coverage, ensuring strategic technology investments aligned with organizational objectives and optimizing costs.

·       Established and operationalized internal Enterprise Architecture (EA) consulting service offerings tailored for EA team members, equipping them with the necessary skills to engage business users effectively. The focus was on driving the adoption of catalog technologies and enhancing business operations. The initiative aimed to empower EA team members, enabling them to coach business owners to operate with greater autonomy and reduced dependence on IT. This strategic approach was instrumental in elevating the technical proficiency of the EA team.
