Ostrich Crushed Velvet Blanket Champagne and Black Contrast - I Love this!
I ordered this crushed velvet champagne blanket to see how it feels in person, and it's definitely one of my favorites I've found so far. I've washed it a couple times and it hasn't become darker or dingy at all. It's sherpa material on the other side and is super cozy with a nice heavy weight to it. I'm going to make more with other animals, mostly focusing on the moths and butterflies, I think, because it's got a great shimmery texture for wings. I highly recommend it for

Hummingbird Paper Ornament from ABCs Alligators to Zebras Art Brain Breaks Activity Book
I was working through my 26- animal ABCs Activity Book and just having fun not being precious or perfect about cutting out animals, coloring, using glitter glue and whatever I felt like trying. I actually cut it out and put it on the tree first, not colored in, and just left it there until I figured out what colors it wanted to be by where it was sitting on the tree. You can see I hole-punched it thinking it wanted to be an ornament. It still is, but it turns out it didn't ha

Adopt Don't Chop a Turkey Wall Tapestry, Very Large, Good for a Barn
I tried the largest Wall Tapestry I could get to see how well my wild turkey illustration would come out and I have to say the sharpness of the imagery is great. This was the biggest wall I had access to after receiving this test version in the mail in 2024. Yes, I've had it for over a year and am just now posting it. I'm thinking I want to find a farm rescue sanctuary and gift it to them and see if it helps their rescue in any way to draw in visitors. I have about 14 differ

Art Projects Coloring a Snowy Owl While Waiting for the Bus After School, Primary Autism, Las Vegas, NV October 2025
This is one of the students in a Primary Autism class where I was a Substitute Teacher in Las Vegas this year. He was a joyful and pretty easy going student and he worked to focus on his lessons throughout the day though he wasn't as interested in coloring butterflies like a lot of the students were throughout most of the days I was there. What I noticed is that when I was on Bus Duty, the exciting journey at the end of the day (if you're new or don't know about Substitute Te

Art Projects Animal Farm Digital Downloads to Make Baby Duck (Duckling) Holiday Ornaments and Room Decorations with Paper, Tape, and String Las Vegas, NV November 2025
This is me cutting out the Baby Ducks from my Dopamine Art Series as a Digital Download you can pull down and print out as often as you like. I turn these guys into a puppet and used them the next day as a Substitute Teacher for a group of 3rd graders who gut stuck inside almost all day when it rained recently in Las Vegas! It turned out to be a lot of fun and the kids put on a puppet show! Search my site for "puppet shows" to see the yellow duck show up in various settings.

Pre-K Autism Mid-Day Check-in, Multiple Coloring Projects Underway, Las Vegas, NV November 2025
This was a Pre-K Autism class where I was Substitute Teacher for CCSD, here in NV, back in November. It was amazing because the Special Education Teacher Assistant said it would be great if I could set up a coloring area and leave it set up throughout the day to see if the kids were into it. They'd had a few challenging days recently and the thought was coloring might capture some of the kids attention more so than the usual program and if so, the day may go a little better

Elementary, 3rd Grade, O is for Ostrich, a Bird and Vertebrate
This one is by a 3rd grader in 2025 who absolutely loved the ostriches out of all the birds I had with me in my Sub Pack that day as a Substitute Teacher with CCSD. This student was one of the folks who was quite distracted earlier in the day. Once he learned we were doing art projects later in the day for kids who were focusing, doing their assignments, and being thoughtful about their neighbors he was totally on task and entirely well behaved for the remainder of the day, i

Elementary, 3rd Grade, O is for Owl (Barn Owl), Las Vegas 2025
This is from one of the 3rd grade students who was pretty quiet throughout the day and sort of kept to herself. She colored a few pages in my Resilient Oakland Coloring Book I usually bring with me for kids who like to color in storylines. She moved to the individual animal pages and focused a lot on the birds in the series, a Barn Owl, particularly. I love the painterly brush strokes in yellow, you can see how much power she sees them having. September 2025 Las Vegas, NV
