Here's a simple summary assessment for the time it would take a client to migrate ~11,500 content assets if they decided to not audit it for relevancy and edit down the amount of content they would bring over from the legacy content management system.
When folks look at these types of estimates it helps to have the conversation about the value of auditing and considering the option to make updates to recent content, create consolidated content types, and adopt information governance and records management policies around how long any piece of content should be searchable.
Once these conversations start, we generally have a shorter list of content to "migrate" over to the new CMS and a large amount of content to backup and keep for records management purposes, vs. dragging old content into the nice newly branded pages and sites.
